Speeding up multi-photon microscopy

Speeding up multi-photon microscopy

Kyle Quinn

As a young investigator, I not only appreciated seeing the progress of his research program over the years, but also his thoughts for the future of wide-field MPM techniques. Rapid 3D acquisition by seeing multiple planes through volume hologram approaches could further our understanding of dynamic single neuron processing, and super-resolution efforts can provide more detailed information in mapping the dynamic multi-scale connectivity of neurons. His work certainly has highlighted the benefits of finding the right applications and collaborators to drive the development of optical technology.
