About the Speaker
Dr. Bennett is co-founder of MEPSS LLC and 2026 Optica President. With over 30 years in academia and industry, she has led innovations for federal, international, and DoD customers.
Her research spans optical imaging, atmospheric turbulence, RFID, and secure supply chains. She holds multiple patents for RFID and container security devices.
A former Army Science Board member and Editor-in-Chief of Applied Optics, she serves on boards for Riverside Research and Georgia Tech. Her honors include the Superior Civilian Service Medal and the Commander’s Award for Public Service.
Dr. Bennett earned her BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from UCF, and a PhD and Certificate in Management of Technology from Georgia Tech.
