About the Speaker
Mikhail Lukin is currently the Joshua and Beth Friedman University Professor at Harvard University, co-Director of the Harvard Quantum Initiative and co-founder, board member and Chief Scientist of QuEra Computing, Inc. He is a fellow of APS, Optica and AAAS and a member of the National Academy of Sciences. His research focuses on quantum optics and quantum information science. He has co-authored over 500 technical papers. Recent awards include the John Stewart Bell Prize, Norman F. Ramsey Prize of APS, Physics World Breakthrough of the Year (2024), Falling Walls Breakthrough of the Year in Physical Sciences (2023) and the International Quantum Award.
