About the Speaker
Hugh Bowen is an Investor at SOSV, focusing on thesis development, deal sourcing, and portfolio management. He oversees the former IndieBio EU portfolio, spanning sectors such as biomanufacturing, advanced materials, and computational biology. Alongside managing these existing investments, he supports follow-on funding and the continuous development of SOSV’s global ecosystem of founders and partners. As part of his broader thesis development at SOSV, Hugh actively evaluates new opportunities in the emerging Quantum and Novel Compute vertical. Across all these initiatives, he acts as a strategic bridge between European ecosystems and U.S. capital markets, facilitating cross-border funding and partnerships. Previously a Data Product Consultant at Kubrick Group, he holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics & Statistics from the University of St Andrews.
