About the Speaker
Dr. Jessie Qin-Dregely is COO of Single Quantum, a pioneering company in the field of superconducting nanowire single photon detectors with the mission to make the world’s fastest and most sensitive light sensors limited only by the laws of physics. Her expertise includes scientific instrumentation, nanophotonics, photon detection, cryogenics, and business strategy. Dr. Qin-Dregely received her PhD in Electrical Engineering from Southeast University, China, in 2009. She was a visiting scholar at Duke University, United States, in 2008 and From 2010 to 2014, she was Carl-Zeiss Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Stuttgart, Germany. She has worked in research areas including computational electromagnetics, metamaterials, nanophotonics, and superconducting nanowire single photon detector
