About the Speaker
Dr. Sulway is the Chief Technology Officer at Light Trace Photonics, a pioneering company advancing integrated photonics with tools that streamline product development. Light Trace Photonics empowers engineers and businesses across the quantum, communications, and sensing sectors to reduce time-to-market and design next-generation photonics technologies with precision and efficiency.
Before co-founding Light Trace Photonics in 2021, Dr. Sulway earned his PhD from the University of Bristol’s Quantum Engineering Centre for Doctoral Training, where he focused on the development of mid-infrared pair-photon sources and ultra-low-loss fiber-chip couplers for quantum photonics applications in silicon. After completing his PhD, Dr. Sulway continued as a Research Associate at the University of Bristol’s Quantum Engineering Technology Labs, advancing the development of high-performance integrated photonics components using quantum, nonlinear, and electro-optic phenomena, along with cutting-edge design methodologies.
Dominic was named in the 2025 Electro-Optics Photonics100.
