The Optica Laser Systems Technical Group invites Optica members to a special session featuring Jens Biegert, a distinguished German physicist and ICREA Professor of Attoscience and Ultrafast Optics at ICFO – The Institute of Photonic Sciences in Barcelona. With academic roles at the University of New Mexico and the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society, Prof. Biegert’s research spans atomic, molecular and solid-state physics, with a focus on real-time multi-body dynamics. The session will begin with a 30-minute career perspective, followed by a 30-minute Q&A where both professional and technical questions are encouraged, covering insights into his career journey and the science behind his plenary talk. Designed to engage students and support their future career goals, this event also offers a unique networking opportunity. Additionally, it fosters dialogue between those advancing laser system technologies and those applying them, bridging innovation with real-world impact.
