Jonas Wielandts is Managing Partner and Chief Business Officer at Wielandts UPMT, a Belgian high-tech company specializing in ultra-precision optical manufacturing. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Engineering from the University of Liège, Belgium. Since joining the family-owned business in 2019, Jonas has led business development, sales, and financial strategy while driving partnerships and market expansion. He has played an active role in advancing cutting-edge solutions for ultra-precision machining and replication of complex optics — from lens arrays and freeform surfaces to replication tooling for next-generation AR/VR, automotive, space, and sensing applications. Under his leadership, UPMT continues to push the boundaries of precision manufacturing technologies, including patented approaches for sub-micron accuracy and high-performance optical components.
