About the Speaker
Kees Buijsrogge is Director of Space & Scientific Instrumentation at TNO, the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research, where he leads strategic initiatives in satellite communications, Earth observation, and advanced optical systems. With extensive experience in applied research and high-tech innovation, he focuses on advancing space technologies and strengthening European industrial capabilities.
Since 2023, he has also been involved in TNO’s defense activities related to military applications of space technologies. His expertise spans optical satellite communications, space instrumentation, and the development of technologies supporting secure and resilient space infrastructure. Previously, he led TNO’s Optics Department, including its optical manufacturing activities.
Kees holds an M.Sc. in Science and Policy from Utrecht University and serves on several advisory and supervisory boards within the Dutch space ecosystem.
