Dr. Andrei Dragomir is the Founder and CEO of Aquark Technologies, specializing in the miniaturization and commercialization of cold-atom quantum technologies. With a background in experimental quantum physics, microfabrication, and vacuum systems, he focuses on transforming complex laboratory-based quantum systems into compact, robust solutions suitable for real-world deployment.
His work advances quantum sensing, precision timing, and navigation technologies with potential applications in aerospace and defense, particularly in GPS-denied environments. Under his leadership, Aquark Technologies has demonstrated cold-atom systems operating in challenging environments across air, sea, and underwater platforms, supporting the development of resilient quantum capabilities for future defense and autonomous systems.
Andrei holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Southampton, where his research laid the foundation for the technology behind Aquark.
