About the Speaker
Dr. Timothy Day is Chairman and CEO of Monarch Quantum, where he leads the company’s mission to deliver integrated quantum photonics engines that enable scalable quantum computing, sensing, and networking systems. He focuses on building the team, culture, and operational systems required to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions for the emerging quantum industry.
Dr. Day holds graduate degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University and Stanford University and brings more than 25 years of experience commercializing advanced photonics technologies. Over his career, he has co-founded multiple successful photonics companies, including New Focus and Daylight Solutions, helping translate cutting-edge science into commercially deployed laser technologies across telecommunications, aerospace, and defense markets.
He is an active contributor to the broader photonics and quantum ecosystem through his involvement with SPIE and the Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C).
