About the Speaker
Dr. Philipp Vorreau is the Vice President and General Manager of indie’s SLEDs products within our photonics business unit, focusing on the design and manufacturing of innovative, high-end light sources, including lasers, optical modules, and superluminescent LEDs (SLEDs).
Dr. Vorreau joined indie through Company’s acquisition of Exalos AG in 2023. During his 16-year tenure at Exalos AG, he held key leadership roles across R&D, product management, and quality assurance. Starting as R&D Project Manager, Dr. Vorreau spearheaded cutting-edge photonics projects before advancing to Product Line Manager, managing global product portfolios and market strategies for over a decade. Later, as Quality Manager, he ensured operational excellence and compliance across complex manufacturing processes.
Dr. Vorreau holds a Doctorate in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and a Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the Hochschule Flensburg University of Applied Sciences.
