About the Speaker
Michele Natrella is Head of Research & Development at Lumino Technologies Ltd, where he leads technical innovation in optical and quantum communication technologies. He has 19 years of experience across academia, defence, and industry, specialising in photonics, electromagnetics, quantum communications, and system development.
Previously, he was Head of the Antenna Team and Lead Photonics Engineer on the UK Ministry of Defence’s Tempest programme at Leonardo UK, and Subject Matter Expert in Electro-Optical Systems at Arqit Ltd, supporting ESA’s QKDSat mission.
Dr Natrella holds an MSc in Electronic Engineering from Politecnico di Bari and a PhD in Photonics from University College London. He is a Chartered Engineer and holds an Executive MBA.
