About the Speaker
Prof. Loyd McKnight is Head of Centre at Fraunhofer Centre for Applied Photonics (CAP) in Glasgow. Fraunhofer CAP supports the UK National Quantum Technologies Innovation Programme through long-term partnerships and applied technology delivery. He directs several major national and international research programmes in quantum technologies, leading efforts to translate advanced photonics from design and benchtop research through to real-world demonstrations. He has extensive experience in integrated quantum sources of light, including frequency-stabilised lasers, nonlinear optics, and entangled photon sources.
