About the Speaker
Yves LeMaitre is President and Chief Executive Officer of Lightwave Logic, a company developing high-performance electro-optic polymer materials and photonic devices for data communications and other markets. He joined the company's Board of Directors before being named CEO in December 2024, tasked with executing its strategic plan and expanding its presence across multiple verticals. LeMaitre is an optical communications industry veteran with more than two decades of experience in global technology and customer-facing leadership roles. From 2008 to 2018 he held senior positions at Oclaro, including Vice President of Telecommunications Sales and Corporate Marketing and, later, President of the Optical Connectivity Business. Earlier in his career, he served as Chief Marketing Officer at Avanex and as President and CEO of Lightconnect, and held a senior vice president role at Luna Innovations. He holds a master's degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of Nantes and studied at Télécom ParisTech.
