About the Speaker
Ofer Shapiro is CEO and Co-Founder of Resolight.ai. He is a serial entrepreneur, investor, mentor and board member in multiple startup companies with breakthrough technology in photonics, AI, and the infrastructure needed to support these industries. He is also CEO and co-founder of Quantum Pulse Ventures.
Electrical switches are a huge bottleneck for AI networks. Photonic processing unblocks this barrier. Resolight uses photonic processing to make the network 10X more scalable, faster, and efficient leading to 10X more efficient racks, fewer switches- more space for GPU, 10X less network power, 10X fewer network connections, and 1000X larger Scale-Up networks. This breakthrough is key for hyperscale AI datacenter scaling and profitability.
Resolight is currently working with design partners to develop all optical switching systems which will work with optical technologies in development, such as co-packaged optics (CPO) and pluggables. Photonic Processing in the network coupled with CPO will make the network 10X more scalable.
Ofer has created 12 ventures and delivered 5 disruptive architectures which have been licensed by Google, Cisco, HP, Nintendo, Philips, Ricoh, Hitachi and many others. He is a named inventor on 52 patents.
The World Economic Forum named Ofer a Technology Pioneer and he received the Wall Street Journal Innovation award for economic disruption that transformed the industry in the category of Internet, Networking and Broadband.
