About the Speaker

Caroline Boudoux is a Canadian physicist, professor, and entrepreneur specializing in biomedical optics and photonics innovation. She teaches at École Polytechnique de Montréal, where she leads research and mentors future engineers. A PhD graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, she has advanced optical technologies for medical imaging. Boudoux co-founded Castor Optics and Peregrine Photon, translating research into applications. An Optica Fellow and board member, she is also an author and media collaborator, recognized for bridging science, entrepreneurship, and public engagement in optics.
