About the Speaker
Brendan Lafferty is Vice President of Thin Film Wafer Process Development at Seagate Technology, where he leads global development and productisation of nanoscale thin-film magnetic transducers and photonic integrated circuits for hard disc drive applications. He oversees a worldwide team of technical professionals responsible for advancing wafer-scale nanometre process technologies through the introduction of new materials, advanced tooling, and innovative process flows that enable next-generation products at manufacturing scales of millions of units per day. Brendan brings more than 30 years of experience in the development of thin-film, nanoscale magnetic and photonic devices, with a strong track record of translating complex innovation into high-volume production.
