APEX Technologies announces ODFR-APX series Optical Frequency Domain Reflectometer (OFDR)
APEX Technologies ODFR-APX series Optical Frequency Domain Reflectometer (OFDR) allows to measure the reflection and transmission of fiber optic components in the spatial domain with a high resolution of 8 μm, a dynamic range of 120 dB, a measurement range of up to 350 m and for any wavelength range between 720 to 1630 nm. The OFDR configuration is based on a mode-hop-free Tunable Laser Source whose frequency is swept linearly in time. This TLS (model TLS-APBX) can be integrated inside the equipment or into an external benchtop as an option. The advantage of the latter configuration is that the TLS can be connected to several APEX Technologies equipment based on interferometric principle (OSA, OCSA, OFDR).
