About the Speaker
Rob Markovic is Group Vice President of Talent Acquisition and People Operations at Coherent Corp., where he leads global strategies for attracting, developing, and retaining talent across a highly technical and innovation-driven organization. With more than 20 years of experience in talent acquisition, workforce planning, and HR leadership, Rob brings deep expertise in building high-performing teams within complex, technology-focused environments.
Prior to joining Coherent, Rob served as Vice President of Global Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning at PHC Group, a Japan-based life sciences and diagnostics company. There, he established a global Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence and led workforce planning initiatives across multiple operating companies. Earlier in his career, he led global talent acquisition, Global Business Services, and HR systems at Cubic Corporation, and held key HR leadership roles at Danaher, B/E Aerospace, and Ball Aerospace—organizations at the forefront of engineering and advanced technology.
Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of North Texas and serves on the advisory board of The Argyle Group. He is passionate about connecting emerging talent with opportunities in photonics, optics, and advanced engineering, and helping students navigate careers in these rapidly evolving fields.
