About the Speaker
Tobias is Chief Commercial Officer and Co-Founder of AIXEMTEC GmbH, a spin-off from Fraunhofer IPT founded in 2016, providing industrial optics assembly machines and services. Between 2020 and 2023, he served as Technical Director at AIXEMTEC.
Prior to that, he was Head of the Optics Business Unit at Fraunhofer IPT from 2018 to 2020, leading a team of 70 working on optics manufacturing, optical metrology, assembly, and laser-assisted material processing. From 2016 to 2018, he headed the research group Precision Assembly and Automation at Fraunhofer IPT.
He has worked on the automation of assembly processes with a focus on precision bonding using fast-curing UV adhesives and began his career in manual assembly of optical systems at Fraunhofer ILT.
