About the Speaker
Maroun Massabki has been working in applied research in optics and photonics for more than 25 years. He graduated from Polytechnique Montréal in engineering physics, and after his graduate studies, he began his career at the National Research Council of Canada as a research officer in laser-ultrasounds. He also worked in the private sector for more than ten years, notably for two start-ups and a European SME, before joining Optech in 2010 as the director of development and innovation. Since 2022 he is the general manager of the Center. Optech supports approximately 75 companies per year in the development of their products and processes by offering them access to state-of-the-art equipment and a team of more than 30 professionals specializing in optics and photonics.
