About the Speaker
Robert is President of Äpre Instrument Inc. manufacturers of high-end precision optical test interferometers. Robert earned an AstroPhysics degree followed by graduate studies in Electrical Engineering both at Michigan State University, with Optics studies at University of Rochester. He is a member of Optica (OSA), an SPIE Senior Member, and founding and past board member of the American Society for Precision Engineering. He has developed and applied displacement, surface form, and white light profiling optical interferometers working at Tropel (Corning) as Project Engineer, Zygo as Vice President Engineering then Marketing, and now ÄPRE Instruments. Robert has contributed to the field with multiple patents and innovations.
