Lambda Research Releases TracePro 26.1 and RayViz 26.1
New updates bring enhanced workflow improvements in TracePro and ray color visualization in RayViz for SOLIDWORKS®
WESTFORD, Mass., March 26, 2026 - Lambda Research Corporation announced the release of TracePro 26.1 and RayViz 26.1, the latest versions of its optical and illumination design software. Both versions were released on February 16, 2026, with the company’s release announcement published on February 23, 2026.
RayViz 26.1 introduces a new ray colors capability inside the CAD environment. Engineers can now display rays using flux-based, wavelength-based, or source-based color mapping, making it easier to evaluate energy distribution, spectral behavior, and source differentiation directly within SOLIDWORKS. Lambda Research says this update improves optical validation by helping users interpret ray paths, identify stray light, and communicate system performance more clearly during design reviews.
TracePro 26.1 includes improvements to the Sequence Editor along with additional enhancements, continuing Lambda Research’s focus on practical usability and optical analysis workflow refinement. TracePro is positioned by Lambda Research as software for analyzing, simulating, and optimizing optical and illumination systems.
RayViz is Lambda Research’s SOLIDWORKS Add-in for applying optical properties, defining sources, and tracing rays directly within SOLIDWORKS. It also enables users to save a model for further analysis in TracePro, helping optical and mechanical teams work from a shared design environment.
“TracePro 26.1 and RayViz 26.1 reflect our continued commitment to giving engineers practical tools that fit into real-world design workflows,” said David Jacobsen, Senior Application Engineer at Lambda Research Corporation. “With RayViz 26.1 ray colors provide more immediate insight during validation inside SOLIDWORKS, while TracePro 26.1 continues to strengthen the analysis environment our users rely on for optical and illumination design.”
Lambda Research Corporation has provided opto-mechanical design environments for more than 30 years and is headquartered at 515 Groton Road, Westford, Massachusetts 01886, USA.
