Hamamatsu and MEETOPTICS partner to integrate MEETOPTICS' Scientific AI-chat exclusively for Hamamatsu’s product portfolio
Hamamatsu Photonics and MEETOPTICS have partnered to launch Hikari, a Scientific AI-chat designed to help researchers and engineers quickly and accurately identify the most suitable products across Hamamatsu’s portfolio of more than 2,500 photonics components.
Integrated into Hamamatsu’s website, Hikari uses Louis’s technology, the Photonics AI assistant from MEETOPTICS, to provide instant technical guidance by accessing and interpreting Hamamatsu’s complete technical documentation, including specifications embedded in datasheets and manuals across multiple formats such as graphs, tables, and images. It understands application requirements, performs technical calculations to determine the required specifications, recommends suitable products, compatible accessories, and alternatives, and identifies incompatible requirements before they become an issue.
Users can describe their application in natural language—for example, "I'm building a setup for imaging single cells. What should I use?"—and Hikari translates those needs into the most relevant product recommendations. This enables customers to spend less time searching, make better-informed decisions, and reduce R&D cycles, while allowing Hamamatsu's engineering, sales, and support teams to respond to customer requests faster and more accurately.
