About the Speaker
Gordon is a scientist and technology leader who's passionate about driving innovation in photonics and microelectronics. He is the CEO and Co-Founder of Beacon Photonics, a technology company harnessing heterogeneous integration to deliver innovative optical hardware for communications, computing, defense, and quantum applications.
As a program manager at DARPA, he created a broad portfolio of R&D programs targeting disruptive advances in microelectronics, photonics, and optical microsystems. Dr. Keeler worked with experts in industry, academia, and the government to advance technology under the LUMOS, PIPES, GRYPHON, CHIPS, DODOS, MOABB, POEM, and ORACLE programs.
Previously, Gordon was a research scientist at Sandia National Laboratories, where his work spanned diverse fields including optical communications, sensing, imaging, computing, and fundamental science. He is accomplished in the areas of semiconductor device physics, optoelectronics, heterogeneous integration, and optical microsystems.
