About the Speaker
Mael is one of the Co-Founders of Qunnect and Chief Technology Officer. He leads the company's engineering division, where he has relentlessly pursued technical innovations, paving a path towards practical and scalable quantum entanglement-enhanced networks, and oversees the advancement of its commercial products. With over ten years of experience in precision scientific instrumentation and a physics and engineering background, he has expertise in designing and optimizing industrial-level technologies and scientific instrumentation derived from academic innovations. Before Qunnect, he worked as engineer and researcher at Stony Brook University, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, CERN, and NASA. He recently leveraged his expertise to develop compact, industry-grade, field-deployable room-temperature quantum memories and other ancillary quantum-enabling networking components. This seminar will discuss Qunnect's product roadmap for long-distance entanglement distribution and ongoing demonstrations.
