About the Speaker
Hidenori Takahashi is a Senior Manager of Photonics Innovation Laboratory at Photonics Division of Advanced Technology Laboratories in KDDI Research, Inc., where he leads some innovative photonic device researches aimed for high-speed optical communication and free-space optics. Currently he is an OFC2023 subcommittee member of N3: Architectures and Software-Defined Control for Metro and Core Networks. He is also a manager in the Submarine Cable Planning and Engineering Section of KDDI Corporation. He was contributed at the technical side to deploy the world first trans-pacific submarine cable system called as FASTER which is specified to use digital coherent transponders at initial stage. He was a symposium organizer of Recent Advances in Submarine Systems at ECOC2022. His technical papers related to high capacity transmission utilizing digital coherent technologies were accepted as post-deadline papers at OFC and ECOC. Dr. Takahashi received M.E. degree in Electronic Engineering from the Tohoku University, and received Ph.D. degree from Waseda University.
