Noel Goddard, CEO, Qunnect

Women in Industry Spotlight

Noel Goddard is the CEO at Qunnect, the New York-based telecommunications company aiming to build hardware to transform telecommunications infrastructure into scalable quantum networks.

Goddard's LinkedIn profile states that she is "an investor, entrepreneur and interdisciplinary research scientist guiding an extraordinary team of innovators to realize the foundation of the quantum internet." The Optica team caught up with this inspiring leader to ask a few questions.

What currently excites you the most about working in the optics and photonics industry?
It's exciting to witness the large number of young entrepreneurs transitioning academic innovations into the commercial sector.

What career advice would you give your younger self?
[I would tell myself] Continue to take risks, and accept that disappointments are just part of the journey.

What is a hobby or passion of yours?
I love to cook, and New York City has an extraordinary variety of stores that stock authentic ingredients for any cuisine.
