Auckland Airport (AKL)

Auckland Airport is located approximately 30 minutes (13 miles / 21 kilometers) from the meeting venue — Grand Millennium Auckland. 

Public Transportation

Auckland Transport operates the city’s trains, buses and ferries. To ride, tap on and off with a contactless card, phone or smartwatch, or use an AT HOP card. Cash is not accepted on buses.

Airport Link

Buses run every 10 minutes from both airport terminals to Puhinui Station, where you can transfer to a train into the city center. The full journey takes about an hour. Te Waihorotiu Station is a short walk from the hotel.

Trains and Buses

The network connects the city centre with neighbourhoods across the region. The new City Rail Link, opened in September 2026, makes travel across the city centre faster and easier.

Ferries

Ferries depart from the Downtown Ferry Terminal to Devonport, the North Shore and Waiheke Island, known for its beaches and vineyards.

Rideshare

Uber and YourRide operate throughout Auckland. At the airport, pick-up is behind the multi-storey car park at the domestic terminal and at Transport Pick-up Zone, Lane 3, at the international terminal, about a 5 to 7 minute walk from arrivals.

Taxi

Taxis are available at ranks outside both terminals and throughout the city center, offering direct door-to-door service. Major credit cards are widely accepted.
