Airport — Denver International Airport

Denver International Airport (DEN) is located 20 miles (32 km) from the Embassy Suites by Hilton Denver Downtown Convention Center. Depending on traffic conditions, the journey should take around 30 minutes.

Various transportation options are available at the airport, including shuttles, ride-sharing companies, taxi cabs and public transportation.

Should you need assistance with any option, look for a Ground Transportation booth (located in each terminal on the Lower Level). These information booths are staffed by customer service coordinators during peak operating hours.

How to Get Around

There are several options available in Denver.

  • Denver Airport Rail
    For a cost of $10 (USD) each way, travelers can take the A Line train between Denver International Airport (DEN) and downtown Denver. The train departs every 15 minutes between 4:15 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. and takes approximately 37 minutes to travel from DEN to Denver Union Station.

  • Denver Union Station
    The A Line train from DEN takes passengers to Denver Union Station. From the station, travelers can access local and regional transportation, including light rail and bus services. Union Station is also worth a visit. This historic 1914 Beaux-Arts building is home to many locally owned bars and restaurants.

  • RTD Light Rail 
    Denver's light rail network spans 113 miles, serving 10 rail lines and more than 75 stations across the city's north, east, southeast, southwest, and west corridors. The light rail makes it easy to reach many of Denver's attractions, entertainment districts and surrounding communities, offering a convenient alternative to driving.

  • Bus Services
    The bus system provides a convenient way to explore Denver and the surrounding area. The SkyRide makes hourly trips to DEN for a $10 (USD) fare, and drivers assist with luggage. Denver's 16th Street also offers free buses that make it easy to access shopping and dining options.

  • Taxi Services
    Denver offers reliable taxi services with companies including Metro Taxi and zTrip. Taxis can be booked by phone, app, or hailed on the street, with accessible vehicles available upon request.

    Denver makes it easy to explore on two wheels. Denver has a variety of bicycle rentals and 850 miles of paved off-street biking and walking trails. The city has also recently partnered with Veo Micromobility, which offers five different models of scooters with built-in GPS technology. These options offer a fun way to experience Denver at your own pace.
