Professor Peter J. Delfyett, Jr. was my PhD adviser and is my great friend. He taught me many important professional lessons and set a very high bar for work ethic and research quality. He exemplifies the importance of not just doing great work, but of communicating the relevance of that work in a way that people just get. He also showed me how to be clever when the resources are not infinite. Mostly, I am grateful for his friendship and advice as I have navigated life and career.
