Glasgow is one of the most accessible cities in Scotland, with excellent transport connections by road, rail, and air.
Visit Glasgow by Train
Glasgow has two main train stations — Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street.
Glasgow Central is the city’s primary station, located in the heart of the city centre and serving major routes from across the UK. Glasgow Queen Street is just a short walk away and primarily serves destinations across Scotland, including Edinburgh, Stirling, and the Highlands.
Travel to Glasgow Central:

Direct trains from London Euston to Glasgow Central depart regularly throughout the day, with a journey time of approximately 4.5–5 hours.

Direct services also operate from Manchester, Birmingham, and Liverpool, with journey times ranging between 3 and 4 hours.
Travel to Glasgow Queen Street:

Direct trains from Edinburgh Waverley to Glasgow Queen Street run every 15 minutes, taking around 50 minutes.

Trains from Stirling and Dundee also arrive frequently, with journeys lasting 35 minutes and 1 hour 45 minutes, respectively.

The Glasgow Airport Express (Service 500) operates 24 hours a day, connecting the airport to Glasgow city centre in just 15 minutes, with frequent departures throughout the day and night.
