Ritu Raj Singh is Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Netaji Subhas University of Technology, Delhi. He received Ph.D and M. Tech. degree from Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad, India in 2019 and 2015, respectively. He received B.Tech. degree from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, India in 2013.

Ritu Raj is the member of Optica since 2015. He served as the Optica IIT(ISM) student chapter's vice president in 2018 and president in 2019, respectively. He has started NSUT Delhi Optica Student Chapter and as an advisor he supervises students to actively participate and promotes them to research.

He is interested in the field of Optical Networks and Silicon Photonics, and his research work focuses on developing and optimizing optical networks and silicon photonics-based devices. He has developed several new models and simulation tools to analyze and optimize the performance of these devices. His research interests are Grating devices, Nanophotonics, Nonlinear Optics, Optical Sensors/Biosensors, optoelectronics, optical waveguide, silicon nanowire and its applications. He is life member of Optical Society of India (OSI) and member of OPTICA (formerly OSA) - The Optical Society, IEEE - Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and SPIE - Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers.
