Lluis Torner

OSA Fellow Lluis Torner received a degree in Physical Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain, and a doctorate from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia,  Spain, where his a professor today. In 2002, he developed the Institute of Photonic Sciences (IFCO), and he remains the director currently.

In 2016, he was recognized with the National Remi Prize. He has also received OSA’s Robert E. Hopkins Leadership Award and the 2017 Nature Mentoring Award.
