Travis Sawyer

Travis Sawyer is an Assistant Professor of Optical Sciences at the University of Arizona. His laboratory focuses on developing biomedical imaging technology with specific focuses on translational devices, label-free microscopy, and computational methods. He previously received his BS, MS, and PhD in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona, and also an MPhil in Physics from the University of Cambridge. He is a strong supporter of optics outreach and education, with nearly 15 years of experience organizing and participating in public outreach and engagement. He is also an advocate for international collaboration and engagement, having studied abroad in the Netherlands, Germany and Korea in addition to his time in the UK.
