Beyond the Pixel: Building the Future of Imaging — and Myself
22 June 2026 10:00 - 11:00
Modern imaging systems rely heavily on filter-based architectures that inherently limit light efficiency, discarding a significant portion of incoming photons. As imaging applications demand higher sensitivity and performance, new approaches are required to overcome these fundamental constraints. At eyeo, a new generation of imaging systems is being developed based on nanophotonic color splitting, an approach that enables more efficient use of light by directing wavelengths at the pixel level rather than filtering them out.
In this webinar, Meryem will share how her research in nano-optics evolved into real-world imaging technologies, highlighting key insights from her expertise in diffraction-limited microscopy systems and subwavelength light–matter interactions. She will also share perspectives on translating scientific research into industry applications and navigating a career across academia, industry, and business.
Attendees will gain both a clear understanding of next-generation imaging systems and practical, experience-based insights on shaping a meaningful and adaptable career in deep tech.
