Speakers
Jeremy Sage
IonQ - Senior Director of Technology
Dr. Jeremy Sage is the Senior Director of Technology at IonQ, focusing on quantum computing and networking physical architecture, as well as technology roadmapping and development strategy. Previously, he led the development and production of chip-scale technology, including ion traps and photonic integrated circuits (PICs), for high-performance and scalable trapped-ion quantum computer systems. Before joining IonQ, Dr. Sage was a Senior Staff member at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and a Principal Investigator in MIT’s Center for Quantum Engineering (CQE), where he led a research group focused on developing technology and techniques for trapped-ion quantum computing and sensing. Dr. Sage received a Ph.D. in Physics from Yale University and a B.Sc. in Math/Physics from Brown University.
Amin Abbasi
IMEC - Senior Business Development Manager
Dr. Amin Abbasi received his PhD degree on high speed optical communication from imec/Ghent University. Afterwards, he joined OHB satellite manufacturing company as Photonic Team Leader. There, he contributed to various development projects for the space segment, such as OBF for SAR radar and Q-band frequency converter and receiver development for free-space communication. He joined imec in September 2020 as Senior business development manager, covering imec’s SiN/Si 200- and 300-mm photonic platform offers, innovation strategy and and market analysis. He currently focuses on integrated photonic circuits for quantum, AR and health. He has (co-)authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications.
