Come join Platform Lead of Quantum Computing & Cybersecurity, Lac Nguyen, as we dive into Entropy Quantum Computing (EQC) and more. In this tutorial, we introduce Entropy Quantum Computing (EQC)—a novel optimization framework that stabilizes quantum reservoirs into ground states to efficiently solve complex problems. We showcase an experimental implementation using a hybrid photonic-electronic platform, where photon qudits are encoded in the time-frequency domain and coupled with electronic interconnects to realize arbitrary Hamiltonian.
In the second part of the session, we explore flexible techniques for encoding Hamiltonians on Dirac-3, latest QCi EQC hardware, across continuous, binary, and integer optimization problems. We will also present benchmarking comparisons with classical methods on real-world applications, including classification, logistics, and sunlight denoising. This demonstrates that entropy-based computing provides a scalable and versatile approach for addressing a wide class of NP-hard optimization problems.
