Advanced Photoluminescence Spectroscopy & Microscopy of Solar Cell Materials
This webinar is hosted By: Optics for Energy Technical Group
24 October 2025 9:00 - 10:00
Eastern Daylight/Summer Time (US & Canada) (UTC -04:00)The race to develop efficient, stable, and cost-effective solar cells depends on understanding materials at the microscopic and molecular levels. In this webinar, I will explore how photoluminescence spectroscopy and microscopy can be applied to analyse and screen potential solar cell materials. We’ll look at techniques including time-resolved photoluminescence, quantum yield measurements, and fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) - each offering unique insights into material quality, defect states, and charge carrier behaviour.
Subject Matter Level: Intermediate- Assumes basic knowledge of the topic
What You Will Learn:
• Advanced characterization of solar cell materials
Who Should Attend:
• Anybody interested in materials for solar cells
• Students and researchers with interest in the spectroscopy and microscopy of solar cell materials
