Vision and Color Summer Data Blast

Each session will be hosted by one of our division’s technical groups and feature short talks related to their area of the field. The sessions will include a lot of time for questions and discussion following the talks.
This week's session, hosted by the Color Technical Group, focuses on current trends in color. The session will feature the following talks:
- Self-supervised learning of colour vision purely from optic nerve signals presented by Atsunobu Kotani, University of California Berkeley
- Human Colour Diet in the Age of AI presented by Daniel Joyce, Queensland University of Technology
- Hue and chroma discrimination of realistic objects presented by Laysa Hedjar, Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen
- Using SSVEP based neuroimaging to measure cortical colour tuning presented by Ana Rozman, University of Sussex
- Colour perception in artificial neural networks presented by Arash Akbarinia, Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen
- Limits on Human Contrast Sensitivity Imposed by the Initial Visual Encoding presented by Fangfang Hong, University of Pennsylvania
