Single copies of articles from Optica Publishing Group journals may be ordered through the pay-per-view options through Optica Publishing Group's Digital Library (formerly OSA Publishing) or by submitting a Help Ticket to Customer Service. Single issues are also available.

An institutional user agreement must be completed and returned by all the first time subscribers to Optica Publishing Group online content. Once signed, you can email it to: elec@optica.org or fax it to: +1 202.416.1408.

Optica offers a limited time trial of online access to Optica Publishing Group’s Digital Library (formerly OSA Publishing). This allows potential subscribers to sample the full range of Optica content, including current issues of periodicals, meeting content and archival journals. To access your Optica Publishing Group online subscriptions, visit Optica Publishing Group's Digital Library (formerly OSA Publishing), click “My Account”. You will be prompted to login using your email address and your password. (Note: Your password will be your member number unless you requested it to be changed.) New users will be asked to agree to the terms of the “Optica User Agreement”. If you are a returning subscriber, once you login you will have access to your online journal subscriptions, and OPN Online.

You must be an active Optica member in order to subscribe to an Optica journal. Members may purchase or renew subscriptions at any time. Ways to subscribe:

Another reason could be you are attempting to access Optica content from an Internet Protocol (IP) address that Optica does not have in your record. Please send your current IP address to: elec@optica.org or update your IP address online via Optica Publishing Group’s Library Resource Center.

Subscriptions to United States, Canada, Mexico, and South America will be sent by surface mail. Subscriptions to countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, and Oceania will be sent by air freight. All back numbers will be sent by surface mail.

Requests for refunds will be handled on an individual basis, and if approved, will be prorated, based on the number of unfulfilled issues in the calendar year. Cancellation requests must be received 90 days from receipt of the order (whether direct or via subscription agent). Refunds are subject to a $100.00 cancellation fee per title.

Should you cancel your subscription, you may receive digital files for the time during which you paid for online access (at a minimal cost) by submitting a Help Ticket.

All subscriptions are accepted for a one-year term only, on a calendar basis, January-December. No multiple-year subscriptions are offered. Back issues of the current year will be sent to subscribers who placed subscriptions during the year.

Missing issue claims are honored when received within three months of the publication date. Please submit claims to Customer Service at claims@optica.org.

An annual index is included in the last issue of each volume of AO, JOSA A, JOSA B, OL, JDT, JLT, JOT, and COL.
