Flat Optics and Their Applications in Spectroscopy: Dispersion-Engineered Metasurfaces for Imaging and Sensing

Hosted By: Applied Spectroscopy Technical Group

09 February 2024 15:00 - 16:00

Eastern Time (US & Canada) (UTC -05:00)

You're invited to join the Applied Spectroscopy Technical Group for a three-part virtual seminar series on flat optics and their applications in spectroscopy. The third session in the series will feature a talk from Wei-Ting Chen, Chief Technology Officer at SNOChip.

Dr. Chen's presentation will begin with an introduction that highlights the distinctive features of metasurface optics, setting it apart from other optical technologies. Subsequently, Dr. Chen will explain the fundamentals and practical applications of dispersion-engineered metasurfaces. This will include showcasing examples of a metasurface spectrometer with aberration correction and imaging metalenses.
