I would like to honor my mentor, Professor Shigeo Minami, a Fellow of Optica. I worked with him for more than ten years as a young faculty member within the laboratory he chaired at the University of Osaka. I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from him. He taught me how to advance my research and find enjoyment in scientific discovery.
