I would like to recognize Faisal Ahmad, my research mentor when I was an undergraduate working in Farhan Rana's group at Cornell University. Faisal was an exceptional mentor: equal parts enthusiastic, caring, and inspirational. Working with him as an undergraduate student set me on the path for a fulfilling career in optics and photonics.
