Andrew Howe, a Ph.D. student at the University of Central Florida at The College of Optics & Photonics, where his research focused on refractometry. Andrew pushed the boundaries of infrared materials to expand the working range that optical designers have. By working with tools that allow engineers and scientists to make more accurate measurements, he hopes to push the field forward and assist in the discovery of novel materials and standardized methods for measuring.
