Dr.K.S.Lakshmi was the principal of the college I applied to after my school education. I did not get admission to Engineering college in spite of my good marks because of the government policy of caste-based reservation in college admission. I was then a disillusioned youngster and decided to study Arts but Dr.K.S.Lakshmi prevailed upon me to major in Physics and guided me to excel in studies. She has inspired thousands of girls in the 40 years of her career as an educator and administrator.
