If you ask me, why I am so confident and positive about anything happening around me, I can definitely say that it is thanks to the people next to me. When you have your sister as your best friend and the best colleague, with whom you share your scientific journey, work experience, and the joy of being able to wander even for small things, it makes life so much fun. I enjoy the energy and enormous amount of curiosity that Astghik has about optics and photonics. The efforts she puts into education and reaching out to school kids for showing the beauty of optics are truly admirable. She is full of ideas that contaminate surrounding people with love towards light technologies. Our society will be stronger if we have many scientists like Astghik.
