I met Michal when we were program co chairs for CLEO in 2017. I was instantly in awe of her commitment to our community, her amazing accomplishments, and most of all her willingness to enact change where it was needed. I was starting the "service", and outreach part of my career, and Michal inspired/mentored me to do more in that arena. Today, I follow her lead in DEI, and service to my local/global community. She is a true inspiration, and will forever be part of who I have become.
