Anne L'Huillier

My tribute goes to Prof Anne L’Huillier, whom I first met in Saclay (1988 – 1991), working in the first experiments on high order harmonic generation with a Nd:YAG laser. Although after that fruitful interaction we followed different scientific paths, I have followed her career as she became a world leader in the field of attosecond pulses generation and characterization. I remember well her transition from theory to theory+experiments, which sets a good example of dedication and hard work.
